XI Jornadas Nacionales de Investigación en Ciberseguridad - JNIC 2026, Barcelona (Spain). 06-08 May 2026

Original summary:

English summary:

This study presents an exploratory analysis of the data collected during the first edition of the national prevention campaign Missão Cibersegura (2024–2025) in Portugal, which included a sample of 5852 participants. The analysis focuses on the prevalence and risk factors associated with four key cyber threats: cyberbullying, phishing, online grooming, and the spread of fake news. The methodology is innovative, as it combines data collection with an interactive and engaging experience based on a video game. The main objective is to use these data to better understand how different forms of digital victimization occur among minors, as well as to identify the psychological, behavioral, and contextual factors that place them at greater risk. Finally, this study aims to lay the groundwork for a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the digital threats affecting young people.
